Here is a fine and antique Zeihur flower or cabbage rug of fairly large size, five by six feet. The pile is full; all the dyes are vegetable, the weaving is extremely dense making the rug quite heavy. Just holding it in your hands you know this is a special weaving. One seldom sees this kind of physical quality in a Caucasian rug. This rug feels like a high quality Kashan rug on the hand but is more supple. The flowers and cabbages are expertly rendered to great artistic effect. This is a true collector's piece that can be used on the floor. It is hard to find something like this.
